81-82 was a strong year for Franklins for sure. I love the 5/15/81 on the banks of the ol' Raritan.

I always thought the Stranger>Franklins from 4/19/82 was
an outstanding performance of both tunes. Let's not forget this was a sem common pairing as well as with 1/2 step.

Hidden Jem Show from 82 - 12/30/82 - Has a (infancy version) Throwing Stones>Franklin's

I'm sure everyone loves the infamous 11/29/80 Alligator Alley Shakedown>Franklins.

I remember 3/28/86 Playin' In The Band-> Franklin's Tower-> I Need A Miracle-> Playin' In The Band Jam to open the 2nd set as a memorable Franklins which caught us off guard.

I regard 9/28/75 as the all time best!

I'm sure they do now. Thanks for the tip.

Hmm, only auds. High rated auds...should I?

Is there and SBD? What do most have/like? Any tips...?

High Flow- I wouldn't even look at a show if it wasn't a board. After they got the axe I think it was the best thing for me. I started looking at all the great auds out there and I now apprciate them as much if not more than the boards. Years like 1980, 1981 & 1983 have so many great auds to choose from. Put on your headphones and it's like being at a show again.

I hear ya. I was more or less nurtured on high-gen audience tapes in the early 80s. Later I became somewhat of a soundboard snob but the yanking of the soundboards here has been a Godsend- it's totally rekindled my early love affair with audience tapes.

regarding 11-29-80 as of now according to etree no sounboard has circulated for this show.so for now aud only, until rhino or some taper circulates the show or a sad fact it just may not exist anymore like 5-8-77 and a host of other shows.

That show has always floated as a pretty good AUD. I'm pretty sure no board has ever circulated.

The whole show is very good. I remember the first few times I listened to it. In the jam right before the last verse of the Other One, I'm thinking Garcia is a run away train coming into the station and Weir's chords seem like he's trying to throw on the brakes in desperation.

That brings up a whole other question about how many great shows never get listened to because only auds exist and how many shows are overrated because great boards exist.
